Tim Maglione, Esq.
Senior Director of Government Relations
Timothy Maglione, JD, serves as Senior Director of the Government Relations Group for the Ohio State Medical Association. With more than 20 years of lobbying experience Mr. Maglione has been involved in numerous legislative efforts, among them the passage of Ohio's prompt pay law, the Ohio Patient Protection Act; the establishment of state medical savings accounts (MSAs), and the recent passage of tort reform legislation. Mr. Maglione is a graduate of The Ohio State University and received his law degree from Capital University Law School.

 

Jeff S. Smith, Esq.
Director of Government Relations
As Director of Government Relations, Mr. Smith represents OSMA members before the state legislature, executive agencies, and the Ohio Congressional delegation. Mr. Smith is a cum laude graduate of Kent State University and also graduated cum laude from Capital University Law School with a concentration in government relations. At Capital he was Order of the Curia and an associate editor and member of the Law Review. Mr. Smith is a member of the Columbus and Ohio State Bar Associations and is admitted to practice in Ohio. Prior to joining the OSMA, Mr. Smith served as the Director of Legislative Affairs for the Ohio Home Builders Association.


Laura Padgitt
Political Affairs Coordinator
As Political Affairs Coordinator for the Ohio State Medical Association, Ms. Padgitt works as a member of the OSMA Government Relations Group. She is also responsible for managing the OSMA's Political Action Committee (OSMAPAC). She graduated summa cum laude from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, earning a Bachelor of Arts in political science. Prior to joining the OSMA, Ms. Padgitt worked as the Business Manager for Tsibouris & Associates, LLC.
