Tim Maglione, Esq.
Senior Director of Government Relations
Timothy Maglione, JD, serves as senior director of the government relations for the Ohio State Medical Association. With more than 25 years of lobbying experience, Maglione has been involved in numerous legislative efforts, among them the passage of Ohio's prompt pay law, the Ohio Patient Protection Act; the establishment of state medical savings accounts (MSAs), and the recent passage of tort reform legislation. Mr. Maglione is a graduate of The Ohio State University and received his law degree from Capital University Law School.

 

Jeff S. Smith, Esq.
Director of Government Relations
As director of government relations, Jeff Smith, JD, represents OSMA members before the state legislature, executive agencies, and the Ohio Congressional delegation. Smith is a cum laude graduate of Kent State University and also graduated cum laude from Capital University Law School with a concentration in government relations. At Capital he was Order of the Curia and an associate editor and member of the Law Review. Smith is a member of the Columbus and Ohio State Bar Associations and is admitted to practice in Ohio. Prior to joining the OSMA,  Smith served as the director of legislative affairs for the Ohio Home Builders Association.

 


Katelyn Barlage
Political Affairs Coordinator
As political affairs coordinator for the Ohio State Medical Association, Katelyn works as a member of the OSMA Government Relations Group. She is primarily responsible for managing the OSMA's Political Action Committee (OSMAPAC). She graduated from The Ohio State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Strategic Communication. Prior to joining the OSMA, Katelyn worked as the Finance Director for Jim Renacci for Congress and Deputy Finance Director of the Ohio House Republican Campaign Committee.
