Clarification on Meningitis Recall
Thursday, October 11, 2012Last week, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) reported that specific products from the New England Compounding Center (NECC) were contaminated. Practices that have received Methylprednisolone Acetate from NECC were asked to contact patients who received this medication after May 21, 2012, and educate them on the adverse effects. Other practices that received shipments from NECC (logo available here) are asked to temporarily stop dispensing these products and report any adverse reactions from patients who received medication from NECC. More information is available here.
