Court Puts Hold on Medicaid Changes
Friday, June 29, 2012A Franklin County judge has issued a temporary restraining order prohibiting the state of Ohio from entering into contracts with the managed care organizations (MCO) selected to participate in the state’s revamped Medicaid program.
The ruling was at the request of Aetna Better Health, Inc. Aetna was one of two MCOs originally announced as participants, but left off the final selection of plans in the program. A hearing is scheduled for July 23 on the matter. We will keep you up to date as the legal process moves forward.
Please note that you can also receive the latest information, including updates from the MCOs directly, at the OSMA’s Medicare and Medicaid Updates throughout the state this summer.
