Deadline Approaching to Apply for CPC
Wednesday, July 11, 2012As we communicated with you previously via OSMA This Week, the Cincinnati-Dayton area has been selected by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to be part of a new project directed at paying primary care physicians an adequate amount for truly caring for patients’ overall health and not just treating episodes of sickness.
This new project is called the Comprehensive Primary Care (CPC) initiative and has the backing of public and private payers. CMS will choose approximately 75 practices in a total of 14 Ohio counties to participate.
In order to be considered for the CPC, primary care practices must complete the application pre-screen tool by July 20, 2012. For further resources and information on the CPC, please click here.
