Medicaid Managed Care Program Delayed
Thursday, October 18, 2012Ohio Medicaid is delaying the implementation of its revamped managed care program from Jan. 1, 2013, to July 1, 2013. Earlier this year, a lawsuit was brought against the state challenging the selection of plans for this program, which include Buckeye Community Health Plan, CareSource, Molina Healthcare of Ohio, Paramount Advantage and UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Ohio. As a result of the lawsuit’s dismissal, legal process issues and the finalization of provider agreements have delayed the implementation process.
