Reminder Get Your Supreme Court Election Materials

Recent state Supreme Court rulings overturning tort reform laws in Missouri, Georgia and Illinois have reinforced the importance of this year’s Ohio Supreme Court elections. The Ohio Supreme Court currently has a philosophy of judicial restraint, meaning that the high court doesn’t “legislate from the bench.” However, the Missouri, Georgia and Illinois rulings prove that Ohio may only be one election away from that changing and tort reform being struck down along with it.

That is why the Ohio State Medical Association Political Action Committee (OSMAPAC) has endorsed Justices Terrence O’Donnell and Robert Cupp for re-election and Judge Sharon Kennedy for election to the Supreme Court of Ohio. As in years past, the OSMA is offering materials to help inform your patients, colleagues and employees about which candidates Ohio physicians support for the state Supreme Court.
