Ohio Medical Quality Foundation
Seeks Board Member

OSMA is calling on physicians holding the degree of M.D. for the open seat.

Any physician who is a D.O. and is interested is encouraged to send information as well in order to be considered when a D.O. seat is open.

Board Composition & Responsibilites:

The Board of Trustees of the Ohio Medical Quality Foundation consists of thirteen members, twelve of whom are appointed by the Governor for three-year terms. As specified in the enabling statute, Ohio Revised Code §3701.89, the twelve appointees should include five people holding the degree of M.D., four representatives of hospitals, two people holding the degree of D.O., and one person with the degree of D.P.M. The final member of the Board of Trustees is the Director of the Ohio Department of Health.

The Trustees’ responsibilities include oversight of the Foundation’s financial and grantmaking activities; the Foundation’s primary grantmaking relationship is with the Ohio Physicians Health Program. The Board of Trustees for OMQF typically meets twice a year, on the first Thursdays in May and November; meetings are typically held from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at The Columbus Foundation, with lunch available afterwards for those who are able to stay.

If interested, please send your current CV to Peggy Sears with the subject line “Ohio Medical Quality Foundation”.
