Covid Foryourpractice

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused major disruptions to healthcare delivery systems and most physician practices. As changes are being made that are specific to medical practices, we will include new information here as we receive it.

COVID-19 Provider Relief Fund (PRF) Payments

Provider Relief Fund payments are intended to provide funds to physicians and other healthcare entities to cover COVID-related expenses and revenue losses. These are payments, not loans, so recipients do not need to pay them back, but there are reporting requirements and other restrictions to be aware of. Learn more at these links:

PRF Reporting Deadlines

Summary of Reporting Requirements

Be sure to register through the HRSA Reporting Portal to report. Regardless of which payments you have received, it is important to keep detailed records (receipts, payments, etc) of how you spend the money. You must retain the records for three years.

Request Reimbursement for COVID-19 Testing & Treatment

Go to the COVID-19 Uninsured Program Portal. The program is being administered by UnitedHealth Group through a contract with DHHS Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).  You must sign up for Optum Pay Direct Deposit/ACH in order to be reimbursed. Only one individual per TIN can serve as program administrator. This is the person who will submit the provider roster and patients. Reimbursement is based on current year Medicare fee schedule rates. For more details regarding eligibility and payment, see the FAQs.
