About the Speaker:
Mary LaPlante
Mary LaPlante, MD, MPH, is an OB-GYN practicing in Cleveland, Ohio. Her interests in women’s health include menopause care and addressing social determinants of health.

Dr. LaPlante has a long history of physician advocacy and has held numerous roles in organized medicine since medical school. She currently serves as president-elect of both the Ohio State Medical Association and the Academy of Medicine of Cleveland & Northern Ohio.

She is also actively involved in coaching through the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and participates in mentorship programs through AMCNO. These experiences give her firsthand perspective on how coaching and mentorship differ and how each can support physicians.
