Well-Being CARE: A safe place to turn

OSMA's Well-Being CARE Service offers a place to check in on your mental health, whether you’re taking stock of how you’re doing or struggling and unsure how to ask for help.

Since 2021, CARE has offered Ohio healthcare professionals a free, anonymous mental and emotional health checkup, with options for follow-up support and referrals.

Over 520 professionals have used the CARE service.

➡️ 77% of those reaching out are experiencing high distress.

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention partnered in CARE’s development and ongoing operation. Shannon Limjuco explains why:

“We believe that caring for those who care for others is essential to building healthier communities. Programs like CARE help ensure healthcare professionals have access to confidential, meaningful support that prioritizes their well-being.”

Help Invest in Ohio’s physicians
and future physicians

A colleague who is struggling finds a safe place to turn. A practicing physician pursues health law training. A medical student begins to see the physician they want to become.

Your support helps make each of these possible.
Help us provide the care and connection physicians deserve.
